Country singer Eddie Montgomery filed for bankruptcy on Tuesday, December 31.

Montgomery filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy. The failure of his steakhouse and the end of his marriage both presented Montgomery with considerable financial challenges.

The restaurant in Harrodsburg will be sold on January 10, and the money made from its sale will be used to help offset Montgomery’s debt. Additionally, Montgomery and his ex-wife, Tracy Nunan, will sell their home in Boyle County to offset loans from Central Bank & Trust of Lexington.
